PROBLEM STATEMENT: TO KERB WITH INCREASINGLY AIR POLLUTION AND TRAFFIC FLOW IN THE 2IST CENTURY BY ENGAGING USERS TO CYCLE MORE IN THE CITY THAN DRIVING.
SOLUTION STATEMENT: EXPLORE THE CITY WITH DIFFERENT THEME TRAILS TO GET TO KNOW THE CITY DEEPER AND CHANGE THEIR MODE OF TRANSPORT IN THE LONG RUN.
THE IDEA
In collaboration with SMRT, the URA offers the new series of bicycles that are offered for rental at every SMRT station. This is to encourage users to commute more by going green and go car free whenever they can.
It is called "RIDE THE RED DOT".
Tap on with your ez-Link card to release the lock and the screen shows you your current balance in your ez-Link card before you start.

Sign up/Log in > choose your preferred bike rides categories
Sign up or log into app to explore rides. The app will require you to add your ezLink card details to access to the stored value and also to give you information of remaining value and rebates. Activate settings like audio narrative to gives you a more informational and educational experience as you ride through the planned streets.

reserve a bike at the smrt station near you and start riding
Whether is it a ride of discovering new food places or as a daily transport to work, use it as you like it.
Persona 1: Ms Ong, a Singaporean. She loves to explore parks in Singapore. She logged into the app and chose a park in the listings and reserved the bike at the station near her house. She picked up the bike and ride to Hort Park in the weekend. She completed the ride and returned at Labrador Park mrt and took a train back to her home.
User Flow - Night Ride
Persona 2: Joseph Davidson, 32. An Australian expat who just moved to Singapore. He wants to get to know more about the cultures and food of Singapore. He logged into the app searching for historic places in Singapore. He chose Sir Stamford Raffles Ride after watching a short description video explaining the past and present of Singapore related to Sir Stamford Raffles. He reserved the bike at Raffles Place mrt and hopped on to it and started his curious exploration with exciting audio narration of the past as he ride through the selected routes.

The GPS guides you with an audio as you ride to keep you safe. Choose from a varieties of cycling rides and start to love cycling more.
Other features include nearest restroom locations, pit stops of F&Bs, medical help, bike stations, report faulty, 24-HR chat service, ezLink balance, ezLink card updates, mobile number updates, profile updates, enabling of audio narration.
