Insights for Innovation is at the heart of what IDEO is known for—human-centered design. At the core of IDEO's reputation is their expertise in human-centered design, epitomized by their Insights for Innovation approach.

I embarked on a 5-week course that delved deeply into the initial phase of design thinking, grounding me in a thorough understanding of the people for whom I am designing.

Throughout this course, I honed my ability to empathize with my customers, uncovering insights that inform the development of products and services that truly meet their desires and requirements. I acquired practical design thinking skills and mindsets, enabling me to transform customer needs into solutions centered around human experiences.

The Design challenge

How might we provide new products and services for today's 70 year-old?

I am keen to explore strategies for enabling seniors to lead more fulfilling, financially independent lives with robust health monitoring systems. Recognizing the challenge posed by the digital literacy gap among the elderly, I acknowledge my existing assumptions: seniors often show resistance to adopting new technologies, preferring familiar routines and expressing apprehension about making mistakes. This understanding underscores the need for solutions that are not only technologically advanced but also intuitive and accessible, catering to the unique needs and preferences of the elderly demographic.
