I was approached by a recruiter and the GovTech team to undertake a comprehensive redesign proposal for the existing WSG Career Trial landing page. The project requirements included submitting a user research proposal to understand user needs and pain points, developing a redesigned landing page to enhance usability and engagement, and creating a detailed UX Usability Test Guide for their researcher to validate the redesign. This project aimed to improve the overall user experience and ensure the Career Trial program effectively connects job seekers with potential employers.
Task 1
Workforce Singapore is looking to educate HR executives/employers on the Career Trial scheme and help them identify if they may be suitable for the scheme. You are tasked to design an eligibility checker to help users learn about the benefits and the criteria of the scheme.
Propose or carry out a simple user research plan that would inform your design decisions for the eligibility checker. Feel free to make assumptions but make sure it is stated in the deck.
Task 2
Illustrate this webpage in a hi-fi mockup.. We will be looking out for:
● Appropriate look and feel of the site.
● Ability to use the right UI components for the function of page/form.
● Good information hierarchy
● Clear understanding of user experience principles
● Coherent and well-reasoned user journey flow
Task 3
Based on the output of Task 2, write a detailed test guide to validate the usability and content of the web page with users. This test guide will be used by a researcher when carrying out a usability test and should at least include the following:
● Scenarios for research participants
● Tasks to be performed
● Success metrics
